The objective of this 3-part foundation course is to provide a comprehensive and enjoyable introduction to the core skills of parchment craft: whitework, colouring and picot-cutting.

The three skill sets will be presented in the same order as they would be used on an art project, starting with whitework on Day 1 Wednesday 2nd April 2025, leading on to colourwork on Day 2 Wednesday 9th April 2025, and finally perforating and cutting on Day 3 Wednesday 16th April 2025.

The course will be packed with tricks and tips, and will doubtless become an invaluable reference and resource for future projects.

We will use a special set of floral Baby Groovi plates (A6sq.) (available HERE) which have been specifically designed for ease of use when learning these particular skill sets. Expert tutors, Louise Goldin and Paul Church will be your guides.

We use an excellent “Inner Circle” platform, exclusive to course participants. Once you enrol for one 3-part tutorial, you will be given a code/access to our Learning Circle. This will be sent to you during the week commencing 17th March 2025. Then you can access the chatroom too, and meet your fellow students. There will also be a Q & A room, where you can ask the teacher any questions you may have in between modules. It’s like a key that opens doors to classrooms. As the classes/modules become available, you will be invited in.
